Rupal Bhansali
Rupal Bhansali is chief investment officer and portfolio manager of Ariel Investments’ international and global equity strategies. She was featured as one of the Top 100 Influential Women in US Finance by Barron’s, received the North American Industry Leadership Award from 100 Women in Finance, and serves on Barron’s Annual Roundtable that showcases 10 of Wall Street’s smartest investors. Ms. Bhansali is a frequent guest and guest anchor on broadcast media, such as Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN, Yahoo Finance, Reuters, and Fox Business News. Previously, she spent 10 years at MacKay Shields, where she served as senior managing director, portfolio manager, and head of international equities, and she spent 5 years at Oppenheimer Capital, where she managed global equity portfolios and served as co-head of international equities. Ms. Bhansali has also worked at the hedge fund Soros. She earned a bachelor of commerce in accounting and finance and a master of commerce in international finance and banking from the University of Mumbai, as well as an MBA in finance from the University of Rochester, where she was a Rotary Foundation Scholar.
