Anu Aiyengar is a managing director and head of the North American Mergers & Acquisitions Group at J.P. Morgan, where she is responsible for the marketing and execution of advisory assignments in North America. For 20 years, she has advised domestic and international clients on such transactions as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures/separations, leveraged buyouts, proxy contests, unsolicited transactions, and special committee assignments. Ms. Aiyengar serves on J.P. Morgan’s Fairness and Valuation Committee. As the co-chair of the firm’s women network (WOTM-CIBN), she is involved with several initiatives at J.P. Morgan and on Wall Street to recruit, mentor, and develop women. Ms. Aiyengar is co-chair of the Smith Business Advisory Network. She is a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a speaker at several women’s businesses conferences. Ms. Aiyengar is frequently quoted in the financial press and appeared on TheStreet’s series “Alpha Rising” and as “Deal Doyenne of Wall Street” in the Brunswick Review. She received the Impact and Innovation Award from Dress for Success and the Rising Star Award from the Women’s Bond Club. Ms. Aiyengar earned a BA in economics from Smith College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
